Bees are one of the most important animal species on our planet. They are the first in the chain of pollination of plants and therefore, of the production of food and basic products for our subsistence.
According to studies carried out by Greenpeace, 75% of the food we eat and 70% of plants depend on bee pollination. If bees disappear or simply decrease in numbers, this would have a major impact on life on the planet.
Industrialised farming practices, such as monoculture and the use of pesticides and herbicides, are leading to the loss of bee habitats and, in the long term, contributing to climate change.
