Live Sustainable

Aware of the importance of minimising the impact of its activity on its surroundings, La Marina has been working for years to improve the environmental management of its facilities and processes.

For this purpose, the centre is carrying out a process to apply numerous measures related to the reduction of energy and water consumption, the use of efficient energy or waste management, among others.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND ONE WORLD

Bees are one of the most important animal species on our planet. They are the first in the chain of pollination of plants and therefore, of the production of food and basic products for our subsistence.

According to studies carried out by Greenpeace, 75% of the food we eat and 70% of plants depend on bee pollination. If bees disappear or simply decrease in numbers, this would have a major impact on life on the planet.

Industrialised farming practices, such as monoculture and the use of pesticides and herbicides, are leading to the loss of bee habitats and, in the long term, contributing to climate change.

What can we do to help our One Planet ?

Promote respectful, pesticide-free agriculture: Diet is one of the best tools to make a positive contribution to saving the planet and improving our health.

Consume organic, local and seasonal products to support the organic farming system, which is less harmful to beekeepers.

Locate nearby beekeepers and buy their hive products, including wax cosmetics, honey, propolis and royal jelly, to support sustainable beekeeping.
