IMPROVEMENTS CONTINUE AT THE MARINA BAIXA’S FAVOURITE SHOPPING CENTRE

More good news to report and continuing a long and successful process, La Marina Shopping Centre is pleased to inform that the refurbishment works are now underway on terrace two, which will have over 1200m2 dedicated exclusively to the restaurant area and will be finished to a consistently high standard as that of terrace one, which was completed in June 2021.

This refurbishment is being carried out by world-renowned shopping centre specialists, such as the Chapman Taylor architecture studio and Resolute Asset Management and Why Media. They are working together to achieve an excellent dining experience in the region which is expected to be ready next 1st of June.

Gerry Martin from Resolute Asset Management explains “We are really pleased with the nonstopable progress La Marina has made over the last 24 months, we will continue to upgrade the scheme and invest in the right environment for today's retail marketplace, very well done to all involved”.

Terrace 2 will complement a wide variety of restaurants and stands/food trucks (6 in total, 4 of them new operators) to allow local retailers to grow their businesses by positioning themselves in a landmark location such as La Marina Shopping Centre and creating new jobs for the local community.

With more than 20 years of history, La Marina required modernisation. That significant change has been taking place since 2020, renewing its corporate identity, digital technologies and refurbishing a large part of the Centre, terraces and shops with impressive results in terms of footfall and occupancy rates, achieving historic numbers for the leading Mall in the Marian Baixa even in times of pandemic!
