THE FIRST EDITION OF THE LOCAL AND HANDICRAFT MARKET OF THE CC LA MARINA WAS WELL RECEIVED BY ARTISANS
07/06/2022On Saturday 4th June, the first edition of the Local and Artisan Market was held at the CC La Marina. An indoor market located in the leading shopping centre of the Marina Baixa, with the participation of small local businesses.
Crafts, sustainability and environmentally friendly natural products were the stars of the afternoon, as well as the artisans who helped to make it all possible in this first edition of the market:
-Muspell: Experts in mead.
-El Perolet: Dedicated to the production of artisan jams and vinegar.
-Timbó Complementos: Accessories with unique, handmade designs.
-Café Milano: Coffee is roasted meticulously and manually.
-Miel Apícola Pérez : Honey produced in natural environments.
-Kampesinas: Handmade shoes.
-About Wood: Design and sale of furniture and accessories made from the best selected natural woods
-Cup Canvas: Illustrations and other accessories by artist Alba Alzaraz
The market was held on the Centre's ground floor and featured beautiful wooden stands where traders displayed their products and talents. Jordi from El Perolet jams and vinegar "I have been doing fairs and markets for many years, and I have to say that the Artisan Market at the CC La Marina has pleasantly surprised me. You can see how the stands are well cared for, well worked and with a very nice result".
This initiative, focused on promoting local commerce and its products, was supported by Nexa FM radio. They were present with a live programme with interviews with the merchants, giving them a voice and making their work known.
Laura González from Timbó Complementos: "We are happy to participate in this type of project, and we think it is a nice initiative on the part of the CC La Marina. It's great that a large shopping centre supports small artisan businesses in the area. It helps us to sell our products and make our work known and allows us to create connections with other traders".
The organisation was carried out by Why Media's Marketing team and the collaboration of Flexible Places, who have managed to bring about the first Local and Artisan Market of the CC La Marina and other future markets.
Didier Closset, Marketing Manager of CC La Marina, "Has been good teamwork, and I feel that the final result has been very positive. This first edition has helped us start this beautiful initiative with which we want to get even closer to local, artisanal and sustainable commerce. We are already planning the next editions of the Market".
It was an afternoon focused on promoting and helping local artisans prosper by giving them visibility in a constantly competitive market. They could have a place in a large area such as La Marina Shopping Centre.
Finally, it should be noted that thanks to this pleasant experience between the participants and La Marina, the event will be held again in future editions in the Shopping Centre.
