Centro Comercial La Marina and CM Plastik Join Forces to Enhance Sustainability Pledge

Centro Comercial La Marina, a leading shopping and entertainment destination in Finestrat, proudly announces a strategic partnership with CM Plastik, an innovative recycling company specialising in transforming discarded plastic materials into eco-friendly furniture. This exciting collaboration reinforces Centro Comercial La Marina's unwavering commitment to sustainability and the environment.

Centro Comercial La Marina, located in the heart of Finestrat, has always been dedicated to making a positive impact on the community and the planet, with numerous initiatives in the Centre. As part of this commitment, they have initiated several sustainability efforts, including; reducing carbon footprint with free car charging points, minimising waste with a dedicated recycling point, and promoting eco-conscious practices with their very own Bee hive on the rooftop of the Centre. The collaboration with CM Plastik is another significant step in their sustainability journey.

CM Plastik, an industry leader in recycling, has been at the forefront of environmentally responsible solutions for plastic waste. Through their cutting-edge technology and innovative design, CM Plastik transforms plastic materials that would otherwise end up in landfills or oceans into stylish and durable furniture pieces that are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

As part of this exciting collaboration, CM Plastik has transformed recycled bottle caps collected from the local community and visitors into a beautifully crafted bench. This remarkable initiative serves as a testament to the positive impact that community recycling can have on our environment and local spaces.  By choosing CM Plastik's recycled plastic furniture, Centro Comercial La Marina takes a step towards reducing plastic waste and promoting the circular economy.

Gerry Martin, Senior Asset Manager at Resolute Asset Management, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to partner with CM Plastik in our mission to be a sustainable centre. This collaboration allows us to support responsible consumption, foster a culture of sustainability, and contribute to the creation of a greener future. It is a win-win for both our community and the environment."

Sonia de Rodrigo Cortabitarte, from CM Plastik, echoed Gerry’s comments, stating, "We are excited to collaborate with Centro Comercial La Marina, an organisation that shares our dedication to a greener, more sustainable world. Our recycled plastic furniture not only offers a solution to plastic waste but also demonstrates the beauty and functionality that can be achieved through responsible recycling."

This collaboration represents a significant milestone in the journey toward a more sustainable future. Centro Comercial La Marina and CM Plastik invite the community to join them in their commitment to responsible consumption and a cleaner planet. The Finestrat Mayor’s office also commended the collaboration stating, “The partnership between CC La Marina and CM Plastik sets a remarkable example of community-driven sustainability. It aligns perfectly with our vision for a more environmentally conscious and sustainable community, and we wholeheartedly endorse the efforts of both organisations.”
